I have been editing photos on my iphone for a while now using various apps and love it, i usually take picyures of my two kids and family.

I have a picasa account the 20 gig i use for my backups, does anyone use picasa for sharing there pics or should i plump for a Flickr or Tumblr instead?

I dont want to put pictures of my kids online but have recently been taking other pictures and really would like to share them?

Should i go Picasa, Flickr or Tumblr to share my pictures?

Have decided to use Flickr for my photos and youtube for my videos just keeping all my videos and most of my pictures private.

I was wondering the same thing, which is why I found your post.

I would like to upload photos and videos for backup and to view them and to make them available to others. I am wondering if I should keep it private, and just allow those who I know or have reason to, to view them.

Tumblr does a fairly decent job with both, although they are small. There's no editing available. But it's simple, quick, small, and easy.

I'm curious if you have discovered any information which could be helpful?

I use both Tumblr and Flickr. Here's why:

Flickr has a dedicated community, many of whom love iPhone photography. It's a great place to show off your stuff to other photographers.

Tumblr not only has a great community, but allows you to create your own experience for when people view your photography. I ponied up for a domain and post my photography there.

Different sites, both beneficial.

I'm a big fan of Tumblr and Flickr, too.

Flickr is certainly the easiest, in a sense, as you get the community and a place to post your photos and have others view them.

But I'm really, really into Tumblr. It's just amazing blogging/microblogging software in its simplicity, ease of use, and how quickly you can get a great-looking site up and running -- even with a custom domain name (i.e., your own URL). Also, there's the Tumblr iPhone app, which is also excellent -- an easy way to post images right from your phone.

I'm just deciding between Flickr and Tumblr myself. At first I was just going to go straight to Flickr, but then I remembered Tumblr.
A friend of mine who is a professional photographer has found her images from Flickr used in professional publications, without her say so and without payment (initially).
I like what Allan and Nick are saying about being able to customise the display of my photo's on Tumblr too, so I am going to start there, as I will mostly link to it from my blog.

Try Google+. I have used Flickr and Tumblr but Google+ is the best in my opinion. It has tons of storage and very active photography community. Here's my iPhoneography album:
