You aren't doing anything wrong but in fact have just discovered the MAJOR annoying flaw that Apple has put upon it's users to limit/downgrade/resize any & all images that you add to an optional folder then sync to the iPhones Photo album. They have deemed it's users to stupid to decide if we want to use up out devices storage with the original image sizing & have put it upon them self to shrink our images for us with NO option to override this to original sizings.
The only work around thus far is to email yourself the original image & then re-save it to the Cameraroll.

Thanks SCW, now that you mention it, I think I heard about this issue before. Now I understand what they were talking about. Thanks for the work-around, this IS an annoying flaw! I can't believe I never noticed it before. >:(

I wonder if it's just some weird annoying glitch. With any app (i've tried Camera Kit, Photoshop, and Best Camera to name a few), if I edit an image in my Photo Album (not the Camera Roll) and save it, the end result never saves above 640 by 480 resolution.
Is there a setting that I'm missing? In every app, it is set to save at full resolution and in every app it WILL save at full resolution but only if the image came from the Camera Roll of if it was taken with the in-app camera.
I've already restored my phone just in case but it the issue persists. Any ideas? I have a 3G if that helps. Thanks everyone.
