In the past I was a very keen amature photographer, but over the years found that I had less and less time to dedicate to this hobby, however this all changed when I bought my first iPhone (the 1st gen) back in November 2007. As I had my iPhone with me all the time, I now had a camera with me all the time, so my hobby became rejuvenated. Although the iPhone only has a 2 megapixel camera (which is fine for snapshots), it has the advantage of being more than just another camera-phone with the growing number of 3rd party photographic apps. It is with this rejuvenated interest and the availability of 3rd part iPhone apps, that I have decided to create iPhoneography, just another iPhone photography blog.
Hopefully over the coming days, weeks, months and years, I will develop (excuse the pun) this blog in to a useful resource for anyone interested in taking photographs using their iPhone, and will post reviews, app news and photos taken by me and my iPhone. I firmly believe that as Apple develops the iPhone, so the camera features will improve, and along with the 3rd party apps, the iPhone will become more than just another snapshot camera-phone.
The main aim of this blog, is to do as much as possible directly on the iPhone, from taking photos, to editing/minipulating them, to posting directly from the iPhone using iBlogger.

No, when I started the blog, I had no idea the impact it would have on readers like yourself, or my own life.
