FotoTimer v1.1 (beta 1) preview

Following my recent review of FotoTimer, I was invited by the developer to try out their next release of this useful little app, so a couple of days ago I received and loaded their beta app to my iPhone, and was pleased to see that the only issue I had with the app had been addressed. Now you have an option to turn on an audible counter, so when you take a photo using this self-timer app you get a beeping sound every second leading up to taking the photo, with the last second being higher pitched. The only downside to this was that it would beep for every second regardless of delayed time set, so a 20 second delay had 20 beeps, which was very annoying. The good news is this is going to be changed in the next App Store release, so that it will beep once at the 15 second mark, again once at the 10 second mark, then every second from 5 to 2 seconds, and then a long beep with 1 sec remaining.

In addition to the audible timer, there is also an option to save your photo direct to camera roll, or you can turn this feature off and decide if you want to save the pic, or retake it.

All-in-all these are very nice and welcomed tweaks to this very nice app, which is worth every penny of its 59p price tag.

I know the developer will be following this post, so if you have any comments or feedback then please post in the comments section, and who nows if you have any requests for tweaks to this app and post them, then they may well appear in a future release ;)
