Nikon enters the iPhoneography market

It looks like the iPhone as a digital camera is getting some real credibility with the industry big boys, as hot on the heels of HP's printing app, Nikion today released "my Picturetown" (App Store Link), which is a free app that allows you to upload your iPhone photo's to Nikon's online photo storage service my Picturetown.

Like all online storage services you will need to sign up for a free account, but once you have, you will have the following features available to you.

  • Access to all photos stored in your 2GB Free or Gold my Picturetown account
  • View and create photo albums
  • Scroll through your photos with a flick of your finger
  • View photos in landscape or portrait mode
  • Upload new photos taken with iPhone’s camera
  • Add tags while uploading new photos
  • Quick access to stored EXIF data
