SnaptureFlash, an iPhone flash attachment coming soon, well maybe!

Whilst finalising my last post "To jailbreak or not to jailbreak?" I discovered that Snapture Labs have designed a much needed flash for the iPhone called SnaptureFlash, and is currently seeking manufacturing partners to bring the patent-pending prototype to market.

The good news is that finally there could be an iPhone flash on the horizon, the bad news is that is only works on a jailbroken iPhone, yet another reason to jailbreak!

The following information is taken from the SnaptureFlash website.

Introducing SnaptureFlash
The world's first xenon flash attachment for a mobile phone

Unleash the power of Snapture's Xenon Flash. The patent-pending Xenon attachment for iPhone produces an instantaneous flash more than 100 times brighter than any conventional LED flash accessory.

Now you can take pictures with your iPhone camera at night, even in total darkness.

At Snapture Labs, we are experts in the iPhone photography. Our camera software is second to none, delivering more than 1.5 million downloads since April. Our Xenon hardware just raised the bar another 10 notches, helping Apple to make world's most popular cameraphone even better.

Snapture Labs SnaptureFlash offers the following features:

  • World's first true Xenon powered flash lamp attachment for mobile phones
  • Plug & play design - already seamlessly integrated with your existing Snapture software
  • Automatically low light detect and flash trigger
  • Red-eye reduction capable
  • Power-efficient design, 1000+ xenon flash photos in one charge
  • Ultra bright white LED for video recording
  • Feather weight, durable Poloy Carbon casing
  • iPhone speaker amplification
  • Sleek, ergonomic design
  • 3 second charge time
  • 0.3W Ultra bright pure white LED
  • 1m - 3m flash range
