2009 and the iPhoneography blog

The iPhoneography blog is just over 1 month old, and during its short life has grown in popularity, and I'd like to thank you the readers for supporting this site.

So it's 2009, and despite the global recession I think this year is going to be great for the iPhone. I firmly believe some time this year we will see a 3rd generation iPhone with a 5+ megapixel camera and possibly with a digital zoom and maybe even a flash. As well as a 3rd generation iPhone, I am sure we will see an iPhone Nano, that I think will be smaller than the current model and on Pay As You Go (contract free), as there is a massive market out there that Apple are missing out on. Do I think an iPhone Nano will have a camera? Yes I do. I say this because I think that the iPhone Nano and 3rd generation iPhone will be announced at the same time, and that the Nano will have similar specs to the current iPhone 3G, whilst the new iPhone 3G will have much improved specs, which will differentiate the two.

Well that's my prediction for the iPhone out of the way, now back to what the iPhoneography blog has planned for 2009.

First off we have a series of interviews with the most cutting edge iPhoneographers out their today, starting tomorrow with an interview with who I consider to be the original iPhoneographer, Greg Schmigel of "just what i see" fame.

Next up I will be providing some limited coverage of MacWorld 2009m which is just around the corner, and whilst slightly off topic, I am sure MacWorld is something that is close to all our hearts, and that we all enjoy and look forward to. For this you may want to follow me on Twitter, as a lot of my feeds will be provided this way.

Later in the year I will be announcing the first iPhoneography photo competition, and in Q3 I will be announcing the iPhoneography App of the Year, that you can all vote for, so stay tuned for that.

All this is in addition to the news, views and reviews that you have come to expect from me, so it just leaves wish you all a "HAPPY NEW YEAR" and enjoy your iPhoneography in 2009 and beyond.

Oh, and one last thing.....

You may have noticed that I created the iPhoneography club, where Greg Schmigel, myself and some of the other iPhoneographers hang out, so if you are looking for any advice, then go sign up and check it out.
