New iPhone Photo App: QuadCamera

Hot on the heels of BullCam comes another rapid shoot application from Takayuki Fukatsu the developer of ToyCamera called QuadCamera. Priced at £1.19 ($1.99) QuadCamera, like BullCam replicates the continuous shooting mode found on most modern cameras, however unlike these cameras, the multi-shots produced by QuadCamera are saved as a single photo with each frame being 300x200 in size.

The main features of QuadCamera are:

  • iPhone OS2.1 or later
  • 300 x 200 for each item
  • 0.25s - 3.00s shutter interval
  • 2x2, 4x1, 4x2, 8x1 layout, portlait / landscape
  • Color / Black & White mode

To see how this app works check out the video below, and the photo produced during the making of the demo video.

If you would like to try out this app, I have 3 promo codes to give away, so if you want one then post your request in the comments section of this post (don't forget to enter your email address in the required field, and that promo codes are not valid outside the US).

Seeing as you're responsible for kindling my interest in the iPhone camera, thought I'd be cheeky and ask for a promo code ;0) cheers! Rob Hanson - Switchmac

Greg, John, your promo codes have been emailed to you. Please let me know via this comments section what you think of the app.

Rob, I notice you are from the UK, and unfortunately for us (I am also from the UK) we are unable to take advantage of the promo codes (come on Apple get this sorted :))

I have 1 last promo code for this app still up for grabs if anyone from the US wants it.

Glyn,
I thought this was an amazing new addition to enhancing your iPhone & QuadCamera fun & thought that you might want to re-post this as a front page story.

Takayuki Fukatsu has made a GIF animation builder for QuadCamera pictures.

LINK: http://labs.artandmobile.com/quadanimator/

ABOUT:
QuadAnimator is flash extention for iPhone app QuadCamera. Load an image that is taken with QuadCamera, and you can save it as an animation GIF! This is a quick and dirty experimental content. If iPhone support FlashPlayer or animation GIF for album, I may make iPhone version.

- download Win version 2.186k
- download Mac version

@ yen

I had the same problem after updating to OS 3.0. I am hoping that there will be a 3.0 compliant version soon. I miss this app!
