New iPhone Photo App: Yes We Camera

Description from the AppStore: Turn your profile photo into something you can believe in. Yes We Camera will turn any photo taken with the iPhone Camera or synced from your photo library into a campaign poster. Choose between “change” and “hope” monikers, or go for the stand alone patriotic image.

For best results use photos taken without flash with with a light source coming from one side.

Editors comments: Having tried and tested the similarly named app "Yes We Can", this one trick pony app from the developers of CameraBag is currently not worth the asking price.

Whilst the results are much better than those from Yes We Can, both apps suffer from not saving at full resolution, 360x480 for Yes We Can, and 602 wide for Yes We Camera.  Also unlike Yes We Can, Yes We Camera does not support custom text.

As this app currently stands it should be free, but if the developer added the ability to add your own custom text and support full resolution, then it could justify being a paid for app.

Currently this app gets a BIG thumbs down from me, but would not take much to get a thumbs up, so Nevercenter if you are reading this post, then please add the features that should have been there in the first place.

Hah, we submitted this app for approval last January and it was in approval limbo for so long that we just left it there. Now, 9 months later, Apple has approved it out of nowhere, a little late :].

Tom, thanks for the feedback, and I did wonder about the publish date. Perhaps you should drop the price to FREE, as £0.59/$0.99 is a little over priced for what it does, and maybe even add this filter to the next release of CameraBag.

* Glyn,
Yes as you know of my "Yes We Can" ordeal I would be more than happy to see Yes We Camera include all the functions & features I had intended (including yours) & help see NeverCenter's Yes We Camera become a success as such an app with addition functions & features should be!

BTW Glyn, comparing your two photos from one app to the next.... You certainly have a more impressive result here with Yes We Camera. =)
