The iPhoneography Showcase of Sonny Ortolano

Glyn Evans I'm a 24-year-old art student living on the MS Gulf Coast. I've been obsessed with photography since I was old enough to wind a camera, shooting hundreds of photos with an old Polaroid and a Kodak 110. With just about everything I'm passionate about, I take the approach of doing more with less. I've always understood artists in other mediums to be incredibly resourceful, and yet so many photographers depend on expensive cameras and overpriced software to practice their craft. A great chef can make a meal out of scraps, so any photographer should be able to turn a disposable camera into twenty-something masterpieces.
Shooting photos keeps me sane. I'm entirely addicted to it, and so it only makes sense that I use my mobile phone. It's always along for the ride.
I'll leave you with two quotes that sum up my entire attitude about photography.
"Whatever I do is done out of sheer joy; I drop my fruits like a ripe tree. What the general reader or the critic makes of them is not my concern." — Henry Miller
And of course, "The best camera is the one that's with you."
