The iPhoneography Showcase of Thomas Nørdam Andersen

I have been a photographer for many years, shooting 35mm film, medium format film and a range of DSLR's. I did not think much of the camera in the iPhone, when I got one. But once I started using it, I was totally hooked. It's the ability to edit the photos right away, I think is a small revolution. I went to art school some years ago, and back then I was shooting images of what I liked, always having a small film camera with me. Then I would go to the lab with the film, sit down and make contact sheets, and then scan the images I liked. Well, I can now do that with the iPhone, but without the time consuming parts.

I use a lot of app's. They all  have good qualities, but also flaws. But mixing the app's when editing images, is one of the best things about the iPhone. It gives so many possibilities!. I started out with BestCamera for everything, but found it a bit limited - now I use it mostly for vignetting images. I like Lo-mob for the different looks, and Photogene for the cropping tool. CameraBag also provides some nice looks. Mill Colour is fantastic, and offers image controls, almost like in Photoshop on your average desktop machine. Other app's include PerfectlyClear, LOFI, LOMO and Spica.

I have a (photo)blog, updated daily with images taken with the iPhone, and uploaded on the go: www.lifeisrandom.org
