The front page isn't very appealing. The framing and lack of following lines (the sidewalk is off) (but of course, it is never a necessity), it could work if it was 1 foot to the left... But what do I know, I don't have a book.
@Edison. The cover photo looks fine to me. Perhaps you would like to showcasing your iPhone photography, in which case ping me an email.
I agree with Glyn, the cover looks fine to me, in fact it is very nice, as is the book. Nice typography too.
I'm not sure how Blurb works but it would be nice to have a complete example of the book available. A full review is something you would be able to do in any bookstore and it isn't like someone is going to print the book out from screen shots.
Either way, what I saw was nice, I really liked the visual flow from page to page and starting a book with a dead end is always a good idea ;-). Great job, Joey!
The "lofi" sty works also very fine for me. This cover is well composed, the problem of licking it or not is very subjective… none of us will have the same "reading".
The point for me is the typo suits the purpose… what or we talking about ?? snapshots ! the "reader/viewer" is not supposed to think "oh… what a nice font !" ;-)
Anyway ! nicely done !
