I've played around with it and it seems to work great so far - and I'm using an iphone 3G not a 3GS. I might broadcast a little today if I get bored on my trip back to Seattle from Nashville - and I'll probably use it when I go down to Texas next week.
I tested it out earlier! http://www.ustream.tv/channel/apricot-13
Its pretty awesome, its like quk on a jailbroken iphone but without having to do the work :P Plus it posts to youtube/facebook :D
I was kinda bummed that the iPhone 3g didn't record video at all. I'm not much of a broadcaster, but at least I can take some video now! yay!
