Description from the AppStore: Ever wanted to take a photo but it's an awkward or inconvenient time to pull out the camera?
Now you can act like you're on the phone while secretly and automatically snapping pictures!
Just hold your iPhone up to your ear and act like you're on the phone, and SneakyPix will take a photo every 4 seconds. No one except you will know what's really happening!

Editors comments: I grabbed this app as I had previously used Sly Camera but found the results were not very good. The good news this app is much better, but is essentially nothing more than a simplified self-timer app, with a fixed interval timer of 4 seconds. What would make this app even better would be if the proximity censor was used to start and stop the photo taking process.

*** FILE SIZE ***
I'm not sure how I missed this, but the file output size is a useless 320 x 480, which MUST be addressed by the developer!!

Thanks for the suggestions on SneakyPix! I'm the developer of the app and really appreciate constructive feedback like this -- a second version is in the works.
As for your feature suggestion, would you essentially just want it to start snapping photos whenever the phone is raised to the ear?
Hi James
Thanks for stopping by and reading my comments.
For me all I would like to see is for the app to start snapping every 4 seconds (as this seems a reasonable time interval) when you raise the iPhone to your ear and then automatically stop when you remove it (by using the proximity censor)
Looking forward to the next release :)
James: I tried your App and was more than disappointed by the TINY file size of the saved pictures. In my view this is always a fatal flaw. As an example I will not use the magnificent "Camera Bag" App unless or until it saves full size images.
Looking forward to trying your App again if you can fix this.

@Charles. I don't know how I missed this one, and have now added a comment about this in the post.
@James. In addition to the other requests I made, FULL RESOLUTION is a MUST HAVE feature, so the poor 320 x 480 resolution must be fixed!!
@Glyn, @Charles: Old thread I know, but just to clear it up, the latest version of SneakyPix takes full resolution photos on iPhone 4 and 800x600 pixels on other devices.
I downloaded the camera. I am hearing my iphone 4 shutter sound clicking when the camera take picture. Not that sneaky right. or am I the only one has this problem?
Just set your iPhone to silent
Thank you Glyn, now got it :")
