HOW MUCH ££££$$$$!!!!

I just had to post this, in what must be the most expensive iPhone photo (well kind of) app ever.

Total Control: Singlecam Edition (App Store Link)

PRICE £34.99 ($59.99)

App description:
Total Control Singlecam Edition allows you to stream a single supported ip camera or video encoder stream to your Iphone or Ipod Touch over Wifi or Cellular Network. Please visit our website at www.totalcontrolapp.com for videos and information (such as compatibility list) on this and other applications we provide.

Features:

  • Single ip camera or video encoder stream support
  • 1 & 4 Port video encoder support (selected models) for analog cameras.
  • Support for authentication
  • Ability to save credentials after exiting application
  • Support for Pan, Tilt, & Zoom (not available on all models)
  • Use of swipes or flicks for Pan & Tilting of camera/encoder and pinches for Zoom
  • Ability to change ip address and port as desired for internal and remote use
  • Support for over 10 manufacturers and more than 100 models
  • Direct stream connection. No video going through 3rd party servers.
  • No monthly or yearly subscriptions
  • Support for portrait & landscape mode
  • Jpg snapshot capability (while watching live stream) to save to your local photo gallery. View or email from there.
  • Support for MJPG and JPG codecs as supported. Jpg used for jpg refresh or snapshots when available. Mjpg is preferred method of video streaming when supported.

I have my own IP security camera, but do you think I would pay this sort of money to be able to access it from my iPhone? emails and netbook access whilst away from home are good enough for me.

actually it's doing quite well on the store so it seems many people do not share your opinion. compared to other similar apps which run $99, $500, & $900 it is actually a bargain for direct connection.

Hi Robert

Whilst I am sure this app is very good, being used to apps that on average are $.99 and no more than $9.99, this price just shocked me.
