A CameraKit in your pocket

Glyn Evans CameraKit is a little known app from developer Tetsuya Chiba that provides a good set of basic photo effects, that can be applied to new or existing photos.
Launch CameraKit and you are immediately taken to the iPhone's camera interface, which I found a little annoying as I prefer to only edit photos and not take them, but a quick tap on cancel and it takes you back to the app. It is here you will find options below that will allow you to choose, configure and save to edited photos.
Going from left to right you have the camera icon that opens the iPhone camera interface to directly take photos and edit. Then you have two overlapping rectangles which symbolises 2 photos, and this is used to access the photo album and load up a photo to be edited.
Next you have the configuration screen, and it is here you have a whole host of options. Whilst not as feature rich as some apps, there is more than enough options for basic photo effects, from colour effects like B&W, Sepia and cross processing, to Vignetting and soft focus effects, and even a push/pull options which provides EV -2 to +2 effect. There is also I very nice little option that I have not seen anywhere before, and that is the option to add a signature to your saved photos.
Moving along you have a floppy disk symbol, which as suggests is used to save your photo, and in my tests I found the save option to be extremely quick. Finally there is the i icon, which has a little more than just information about the app, as it is here you set the output size, which can be up to 1600 pixels.
So what did I think?
I found this app really easy to use, and whilst not as feature rich as some of photo apps in the AppStore, this app will more than satisfy someone looking for a basic set of filtration options with the addition of focus and brightness control.
