Video Recording and Auto-Focus on next generation iPhone?

Glyn Evans According to MacRumors they have discovered a video recording interface with in Apple's iPhone 3.0 beta firmware.
As the photo below shows, there is a toggle switch on the bottom right that would allow you to switch between still camera photography mode and video recording mode.
McRumors also report that "other interesting capabilities found in the configuration files include "auto-focus camera", "magnetometer" (digital compass), and "Voice Control"."

You say this is in the Apple's iPhone 3.0 beta firmware. Is that the new OS that's due out sometime in June or would it be for a new iPhone (hardware).

I'm not sure about this, but as jailbroken iPhone's are capable of recording or streaming video, then I would expect it to be available on at least the current 3G model, but only time will tell.
