Cool fx is the definitive set of color and black and white film/photographic looks for the iPhone and iPod Touch. This unique software is brought to you from the folks at Tiffen, recognized for their product and engineering excellence earning two Technical Achievement Awards and a Scientific and Engineering Award from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences, as well as an Emmy Award from the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. If anyone knows film and photography, it’s Tiffen.
Using 172 visual presets, Cool fx simulates a variety of color and black and white photographic looks, diffusion, motion picture film stocks and optical lab processes. Cool fx is made up of Black&White, Color, Diffusion, Grain, and Temperature preset groups.

Well, thanks to you I just spent some more money and downloaded this. LOL. I love FX and I'm hoping that this will measure up to it and be a great companion to it. Gee, I'm hoping that all of these apps that I'm buying will transfer over to the new phone when it comes out in the middle of the year.

Bummer, it requires 2.2.1 OS to install. Not sure whether or not it would trump having Qik video streaming. Waiting to see some results from y'all.
A little unclear as to exactly what the difference between this and Photo Fx is, but I picked it up anyway. Looks like there may be some overlap between the two.
Warning: if you already have Photo FX, the color and black & white sections of Cool Fx are essentially identical to the Looks section in Photo Fx. Basically all you are gaining with Cool Fx is grain and diffusion. I probably could have lived with Photo Fx only.
Note that Photo fx only has 3 pages (27) of the "looks" presets. Cool fx has 9 pages of presets. Basically all of the looks from Tiffen's Dfx Photoshop plugin, plus Diffusion, Grain, and Temperature. So it essentially rounds out the stuff that was left out of Photo fx.
