Back in December 2008, not long after I started this blog, I discovered what I considered then to be the ideal iPhoneographers tripod, the NAJA King from Thoughtout.biz. Well as with anything times change, and I recently discovered what I think is currently the best iPhoneographers tripod, the Gorillapod Go-Go from Joby.

This light weight, portable and flexible tripod comes with 1× Suction cup clip, 1× Camera clip with universal ¼-in adapter screw and 2× 3M™ high-bond adhesive clips. Whilst the universal ¼-in adapter is ideal for light weight compact cameras and the 3M™ high-bond adhesive clips for ???, well I'm not sure what these are for, it is the Suction cup clip which makes it ideal for the iPhone.

At first it takes a little bit to work out the best way to position the iPhone on the Gorillapod, but once you've bent and twisted it, you will find the perfect shape and position for your photo taking position.

Overall the Gorillapod is perfect as a put in your pocket take everywhere tripod, measuring just 15 x 3 x 3cm (5.9 x 1.2 x 1.2") and weighing in at 45.3g (1.6oz). As with most things, nothing is perfect, and the Gorillapod Go-Go is no exception, but the only negative thing is its suction pad which at times can looses its suction, so no hanging the Gorillapod with iPhone attached from any trees for me.

Other than this minor issue, the Gorillapod Go-Go is the perfect table top tripod for your iPhone.
