Hot on the heels of the new Mophie Juice Pack Air comes Case-Mate's iPhone 3G FUEL. Looking very similar to the original Mophie Juice Pack, the FUEL, unlike the original Juice Pack, but like the new Juice Pack Air has an on/off switch, which is a feature I very much like. In addition to this on/off switch the Case-Mate model also has a built-in belt clip, which make this external battery pack unique amongst its competitors, although increases it bulk.
Battery Life Features:
- Talk time: up to 9 additional hours beyond standard iPhone 3G battery life
- Internet use: up to 7 additional hours beyond standard iPhone 3G battery life
- Video playback: up to 8 additional hours beyond standard iPhone 3G battery life
- Audio playback: up to 24 additional hours beyond standard iPhone 3G battery life
- Stand by time: up to 250 additional hours beyond standard iPhone 3G battery life
- Power on/off button makes more efficient usage of the fuel by only engaging when you decide to
- Rechargeable through a standard 5-pin usb cable (included)
- Fully supports syncing while iPhone 3G is docked in the fuel
- Fully ratcheting 180-degree belt clip
- Easy slide in/out access to your iPhone 3G

There are a lot of reasons to NOT use Case-Mate's iPhone 3G FUEL or Mophie Juice Pack, and the number one reason would be to instead go with an iPWR SuperPack from iPWR.com and cut the insane amount of weight you have to carry around. The iPWR battery is made from Lithium-Polymer material which is lighter and holds a stronger charge longer. Use the all-caps promo code of MODO to save 5% off of the $59.95 current price, which is a $20 savings! My wife has one for her iPod Touch, my kids for theirs, and I for my iPhone. We tried the Mophie, which was a heavy piece of junk, we tried Richard Solo's piece of $@&% also, and we fell in love with the iPWR the first time we used it. Glyn, you should contact iPWR.com.
Jeremiah, thanks for the tip. I have just emailed iPWR to see if I can get a sample for review, so watch this space.
