Blunt Scissors

Back on the 24th April I posted news about a photo cropping app called Scissors, which was priced at £0.59 ($.99).
Today I noticed this app was being made available for free with the following note from the developer.
"ATTENTION: I must admit I can do little about the blurry images problem - it is a bug in the iPhone OS, not in my application. For some, it will work OK, for some, it will save terribly blurry images. I can't even reproduce it. Until I figure out a way to resolve this problem, I am giving away the app for FREE. I still believe this is the best image crop tool around, but with all the bugs and uncertainties, I leave it to you to see whether it works for you or not. Please download and see for yourself. Feedback is always welcome."
Based on the above note, and because it was free, I decided to download and try out the app for myself.
The app itself, like many other cropping app looks simple to use, and is, it even has the added function of being able to turn your cropped photo in to a B&W or Sepia one, if you wish.
To use the app after launching it, simply select a photo, crop it, apply an effect if you want, and then save it.
Whilst the above could not be any simpler, the end results are not only blurry looking, but as my sample below shows, it is saved the wrong way round, distorted and the cropped area is not the area that is saved!!
If this is typical of the results Scissors produces, and the app is not fixed, then it saddens me to say this, but this app should be removed from the AppStore, as it does not do as described.
