More AppStore approval inconsistencies

Glyn Evans Here we are again, yet more AppStore approval inconsistencies. Today sees the availability of Polomoid Camera, another Polaroid effect photo app. Whilst this app may have some non Polaroid effects like "Color Brushes", how on earth did they get the app name through the the approval process, I mean Polomoid and Polaroid!!
If I were the developers of CameraBag, I'd be seriously peed off, and be asking Apple to review the ability of some of their app approvers.
In addition to this Polaroid name/effect issue, I am hearing more and more about the incorrect use of unpublished API's, and how some developers are having their apps approved, whilst others are blocked or are having to seriously restrict their apps functionality to get them approved.
When I am over my bout of flu, I will be writing a post about the API issue, but I need to be able to concentrate on the subject to do it justice, which is something I am not well enough to do at present :(

I'm the author of Polomoid Camera. We've discussed with Apple over a month before our app got approved. The main issue is not the name, Polomoid looks and sounds completely difference frmo Polaroid, so it's ok. However, as you might notice, so many photo apps got rejected by Apple. It is because they are violated the Polaroid trade dress things. We believe Apple will reject all the photo app contains a wider border framed at the bottom. Of course, we've done somthing to get risk of the problem so it got approved. If you're interested in our app and wanna give it a try, please let us know.
