The good people over at iLounge have just posted news that "photos taken with the iPhone 3G S are saved in 2048 x 1536 resolution, with a file size of around 1MB."

They also point out that "EXIF data on photos taken with the 3G S also shows evidence of auto exposure, auto white balance, and auto focus adjustments, with focal length data; the data also shows a listing for ISO speed."
