CameraBag and the missing instant boarder

Glyn Evans As you may be aware there has recently been an issue with apps that offer a Polaroid effect. Whilst there have been new apps approved in the AppStore that clearly offer the Polaroid effect, there are some well established apps like CameraBag, that are having their updates rejected due to these Polaroid effects.
Recently the developers of CameraBag posted the following on their website.
"About the New Instant Filter Border
To get our newest CameraBag update approved (which includes the new "Magazine" filter and speed and stability improvements) we had to change the Instant border. This was due to some potential legal issues, which we're actively working on resolving. We hope to be able to restore the border as soon as possible. The image processing part of the filter has not changed.
As a potential workaround, the old Instant border is still available in "CameraBag Lite: Retro", there called 1983. We'll refrain from updating that app until we can resolve the issue for the standard CameraBag app."
Despite the latest version being approved, it would appear the developers are not happy with the current effect as a recent Twitter comment indicated they are "Looking at changing the instant border again. We can't have what we had before (legal reasons), but we're open to other ideas. Suggestions?"
Despite the success of the AppStore, it looks like Apple has one big problem, and that is the inconsistency in the app approval process. It would appear it is pot luck for some developers getting their apps approved, whilst others get approved relatively easily.
Although this post is about CamerBag and the Polaroid effect, I am aware of a host of other photo apps like QuadCamera that are also having issues being approved by Apple, and so Apple if you are reading this, you need to address these issues and support your developers, as without them the AppStore would be nothing.
