New filter Colorcross coming to CameraBag soon

If you follow @CameraBag on Twitter then you may have already seen this new photo showing off their pending new filter. Whilst it has not been confirm when this filter will be available as an update, or what the filter will be called, they have suggested in a tweet, that as it is a cross-processing effect, it may be called Colorcross.

Well what ever they decide to call it, it looks really cool, and I can't wait for the CameraBag update.

There is an excellent cross-processing filter in the free Mill Colour app, a particular favorite of mine.

As much as I love it, I've pretty much stopped using CameraBag since upgrading to the 3GS. Outputting images that are only slightly more than 1 megapixel from a 3 megapixel original file is a little ridiculous. Although to be fair, it's far from the only photo app on my phone that does not honor the full resolution of the 3GS. In fact, the only apps that do are PhotoForge and both Tiffen apps. It makes no sense to me why by now any reputable photo app would not support the 3.1 mp camera. Mill Colour...Photogene...Tilt Shift...are you listening???

Photo fx already has cross-processing filters (as well as other lab processing filters), so I don't see what the big deal is here. I don't understand why everyone gets hot and bothered when there is a CameraBag update a few times a year, when other apps have far more options for the same price.

I agree with nelsonh, any photography app that doesn't support the full iPhone 3GS resolution is not delivering what the consumers expect. I rarely use CameraBag anymore.

By the way, Photogene does support full-res as of the latest update (v 2.10).
