The iPhoneography Showcase of Gregg Stuessi

Glyn Evans My name is Gregg Stuessi, andI live in northern Virginia with my wife and a couple of cats; I enjoy traveling, single malt Scotch and photography.
I purchased a Canon DSLR about a year and a half ago and I fell in love again with photography (I dabbled with film back in the seventies).
I purchased my first generation iPhone two years ago and of course took photos but they were lackluster at best. Since then I've taken several photo workshops through the Smithsonian Associates programs in Washington, DC (with the Canon equipment - I haven't seen any workshops for mobile phone photographers...yet) and, last month, I bought a new iPhone 3G S. I feel that the workshops have greatly helped me find my own style and have opened my eyes to see photo opportunities where previously I had seen none. My style leans more toward "form" instead of "narrative" and I'm having great fun discovering new apps to tweak my shots! Some of my favorites are Photogene, ColorSplash, CameraBag and iFlashReady.

If you would like to showcase your iPhone photos here on the iPhoneography blog, then send me an email and I'll reply with details on how to submit.

Nice work Gregg. I particulalry like the red window and the sunflower. Maybe there's an opportunity to offer a class on mobile phone photography! Best, Ed
Love these shots. Especially the one with the lady on the bench. I think I need to take a class. Thank you Gregg for sharing your photos.
Cool! I second Greg with the lady on the bench shot!
