The iPhone, me, and PMA 2010

Glyn Evans If you are a regular follower of this blog then you may seen my post about the success of photographer/iPhoneographer Sion Fallana, who after having his work featured here on the iPhoneography blog was approached by the editor of "Time Out New York magazine" and eventually ended up shooting one of their covers.
At the time when I posted about Sion's success, I said "we can not guarantee this sort of success", well I was wrong!!
Picture this, you are the editor (that's me) of one of the best known iPhone photography blogs (iPhoneography), and you are passionate about your hobby, writing and promoting it as much as you can, and one day you get an email from the PMA, Group Executive for Digital Imaging Markets. You have a Skype conference call with the said Group Executive, bounce some ideas around, and before you know it, you're being asked to host the “Photo App Pavilion” at PMA 2010.
Well that is what has just happened to me. Over the past 5/6 weeks I have been in discussion with the PMA, and so next year from the 21st-23rd February 2010 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Southern California I will be hosting the PMA's “Photo App Pavilion”, so if you are there stop by and say hello.
I will post more on the event nearer the time, and if there is enough interest I will see if we can organise some sort of iPhoneography meet-up, so let me know if you are interested.

That's fantastic Glyn! Congratulations!
Great news. A just reward for a lot of very good work.
Congratulations, great job!
Congratulations! How exciting for you. I have always loved taking pictures but i'm not very good at it. Since I got my iPhone for Christmas I have been snapping pics here and there. It wasn't until I discovered your blog a few weeks ago that I was inspired to take more pics and play around with apps. It has been fun. Thanks for the inspiration. I never new there was such a large and growing iPhone photography community. I'm considering trying the 365 iPhone challange. It looks like fun. Congrats again.
Thanks to everyone for your comments, and I am really looking forward to being able to promote iPhoneography to a wider audience. If any of you are going to be at the show let me know and I will see what I can organise.
Great job! I might have to make plans to California to meet you!
cool congrats
