Best Camera gets essential update

If you check for app updates today, you will find version 1.0.1 of Best Camera is ready and waiting for you, and fixes some of the issues raised here on the iPhoneography blog.

Fixed:

• Issues with Facebook captions

New Features:

• Reset zoom with double-tap
• Faster Best Camera & Twitter upload speeds

Sadly this update has not resolved the crashing issue I get when editing at full resolution on my iPhone 3G.

Is it me...or do the Recent & Popular walls tile the same exact pix? I liked the separation. Also the link to: thebestcamera.com at the bottom of the page has diappeared. I would love to see some way, as in a slider, to adjust the filter effects, as well as a tiltshift to make this my main app. I barely use CameraBag any longer due to low-res issues. Also...curious...anyone understand how some photos make the BEST PHOTOS list? I know I've submitted photos that've garnered more vote than some of those shown and yet...

...just wondering. This app as well as the iPhonography Blog have rekindled my love of photography, or rather iPhotography. Thanks Glyn.

In regards to how some photos make the best photo list, you can vote for photos but you can ONLY do it through the app. The more votes someone gets that would put their photo at the top.The big problem with this is that you can only do it through the app and when you click on the info button on the picture you are not given any information as to what filters that person used. So you could be voting for a picture that wasn't processed through this app. This is troubling as I feel that you should be getting this information through the app if you are going to vote for a photo. There is no way to vote if you go to the website through your computer. That situation needs to be changed I think..
