Editors comments: If you don't currently have a photo editing app like Photogene or EffectsLab, then Perfect Photo at its current price of £0.59/$0.99 is well worth a look. I have just downloaded this app with a plan to review in the future, and on first impressions this is more than a capable app. Whilst Perfect Photo is not quite up to the same level of Photogene or EffectsLab, it is comparable with Dark-room [AppStore Link] also priced at £0.59/$0.99.

I have been trying to find an option in either my Photogene or Photo FX, to brighten shadows only, as you can in iPhoto. I have been unable to find such an option in either. By the looks of this app, the option is there in the shadow balance options.
Just bought this. Very pleased with all the options- very user-friendly. AND it has my shadow adjustments. I like it! Thanks for posting about it Glyn
