Description from the AppStore: ClassicPan is an iPhone application that allows you to enjoy the features of a classic panoramic film camera.
The conventional iPhone camera stores picture files at a 4:3 aspect ratio, but ClassicPan stores the same photos in 9:4 panorama format cut at the top and bottom, resembling in the output of a classic film camera.

ClassicPan offers six film simulation modes, and switching into your desired film mode is as easy as a sliding operation.
The film simulation modes are negative film, positive film, black and white film, sepia film, desaturated film, and high-speed black and white film.
You can even apply the vignetting effect.
The original file with no determined film simulation can also be stored along with the panoramic file.
(**** This option lowers the storage speed.)
You can quickly check out the recently stored pictures. You can also magnify desired pictures using the loupe (up to 20 recent pictures can be stored, and can be deleted using the settings menu).

Editors comments: Looking at the app description, it would appear this app merely crops the top and bottom of a standard iPhone photo, and emulates a panoramic shot rather than actually takes one, just like the Kodak APS format used to do.
I see Marty over at Life in LoFi has bought the app, so it will be interesting to read his review when he has written and published it.
