Glyn Evans Released just over a week ago, ColorRight has just had its price slashed from £2.99/$4.99/€3.99 to £0.59/$0.99/€0.79.

ColorRight, with either the aid of the custom $29 iBAL Filter, or a white piece of card promises to let you customise the white balance on your iPhone, but in my test I found the results were a little on the cold side for my liking, and resulted in a more noisy and blotchy looking photo.

Whilst this app is now at a more sensible price of £0.59/$0.99/€0.79, with the cold looking results, and the need to either carry a suitably sized piece of white card, or splash out the $29 USD for the iBAL Filter, I think I will stick to colour correcting where needed at the post processing stage of my iPhoneography.

Hi Glyn,
Thanks for purchasing the App. Do you also have the filter? The filter is really required for the best results.
Once you receive your filter try pointing toward the actual light source lighting your subject, rather than directly at your subject. We mention both options in the instructions shown above.
In this image there appear to be many different light sources illuminating the subject, so a so called "incident" reading, pointing toward the light source is in order. This is not really possible with a sheet of paper, hence the need for a true neutral diffusion reference point.
Please let me know if I may be of any further assistance.
Thanks,
Drew Strickland
