App Update: Polaroid Instant Cam

Polaroid Instant Cam, the only officially licensed Polaroid app for the iPhone that was abruptly pulled from the App Store is back, with the bugs fixed and higher resolution (not full resolution) support of 1050x1275 pixels.

With the demise of Polarize, this official app now offers one of the best fake Polaroid looks for your iPhone, marker pen included, but unlike Polarize, it's not free.

App Store Link: Polaroid Instant Cam; Price: £1.19/$1.99/€1.59

i really like it, the only disappointing thing is the grunge texture in the vintage camera..I still prefer the Polaroid look of lo-mob

@Miki, I've just updated the post with...

Just as with previous releases, it looks like this app is buggy!!

If you take a photo with the app using an iPhone 4, then you will get full-res images of 2100x2550 pixels. Also if you load a landscape orientated photo, you will also get a 2100x2550 pixel fake looking Polaroid photo, however if you load a portrait orientated photo you will get a 1050x1275 pixel photo!!

Rather disappointed by this app! So far none of the Polaroid style apps have achieved the image look as good as old Polarize. Also the text font of Polarize looks much better than this one's.

I tried this app recently and i can say it is not bad at all. I am always getting the image with 2100 X 2550 pixels from the camera. I am not sure how Glyn is getting the photo in 1050 x 1275 pixel.

@tstar. I get full-res if I shoot with the app, but reduced res if importing a photo. The dev is aware, but we're just waiting for the fix.

i tried to import the pics that i took from other digital cameras and also taken from iPhone and saved to camera roll. For all those pics i am getting the higher resolution.
