this functionality needs to be added to one of the other camera replacement apps, any app that uses the built in camera function fails hard.

Fine and dandy - but you can just take a photo from the dropbox (free) app and upload or upload direct from your library. Why pay for an app?

@Craig Because all what you explained will be done by the app auomatically and in the background directly after you took the photo. With this app there is no need to exit the photo app, move to the dropbox app, choose the correct photo directory, choose one photo (you can't upload more than one photo at a time with the dropbox app) and start the upload process. You should read the article before posting a comment…

I have a Dropbox account and I may be wrong, but doesn't Dropbox compress your pix? I had used it last year for that very reason but found that it compressed my pix if I wanted to put them back on my device for editing. Please let me know if I'm wrong or that has changed.

(Regarding the question / comment from Max ...) I'm not a Dropbox "expert", but I note that the Dropbox iPhone app has some "quality" entries for images and videos in the "Settings". Not sure if the highest quality settings avoid the problems that you have experienced.
