Looks like the added fx came straight out of the LIGHT app from digitalfilmtools!

good, love this app

@chaos Yes you are correct as DigitalFilmTools is the same developer so to speak just one was his own side projects.

Nice, so the update is essentially the equivalant of purchasing the Light app?
Makes a change for Tiffen to give something away instead of making it an "in app" purchase. ;)

did you realize that all in app purchases are now included?
i purchased the app and the color fx bundle because i wanted the ND-Grad which i also used a lot in analog days. now i have the other in app purchase Portrait fx and new Light fx without paying for it.

if you ever purchased ONE glas filter for your slr lens you are quite happy to pay only 2.39 Euros.

Its always good to know to have a polarizer, nd-grad, black pro-mist, 812 warming in your pocket :-)

You actually get more than Light - you get several new lighting filters as well. Ice Halos is pretty neat! Also the previously-paid-for groups are now included. This is a HUGE update.

Why people complain about about having to pay a little more for an app this nice I'll never understand. I always thought the $1 add-ons were well worth it.

Tiffen Photo/fx is one of my favorite iPhone apps and now it is even better. With the new Light options, I no longer have to use PerfectlyClear or AutoAdjust to lighten some pictures before bringing them into Photo/fx.

I use real Tiffen filters on my OM Zuiko lenses too!

this is incredible. There were already more effects than i could figure out. there ought to be a users manual for this app

Charles - just download the Dfx User Guide from the Tiffen web-site. The Photo fx filters are the same as Dfx filters, with just fewer parameters.

Oops - I posted the user guide link for Dfx V1. Here is the Dfx V2 User Guide.

What a great update! Well that would explain the price drop on Light, too bad I purchased it before I was aware of the update! I don't know about you guys, but I have yet to be able to make this effect even remotely visible on my pics, lol. I have messed with all the settings, restarted my phone, and tried different pics but the light still doesn't show up. Yes, it does offer a few different light sources compared to Light, but Light has waaaay more options. I have them both, if Light wasn't so slow I would probably use it more often.

Thank you Paul. The user guide is already helping me

@Paul Cheers for the Link good for those needing help.
I personally love, promote & purchased all of the in-app filter packs.
For all of $2 extra the amount of filters truly are more than most major apps give you for that same cost. So to ever complain is simply ridiculous to me as well. Though I paid for them months prior to this update including them all for free... I do know you all are sitting on MORE filters & packs for the iPhone & I am very interested in what comes next in a Photo fx update/packs etc.

Cheers Patrick
