Afghanistan, through the lens of an iPhone

During Afghanistan's largest-scale military operation since 2001, AP Photographer David Guttenfelder captured some of the scenes around him using his iPhone which he carried in his flak jacket pocket.  The photos, that can be seen here were taken every day with his iPhone and have the gritty look of keepsake photos that Marines would take themselves.

Care to venture what app he used to edit these photos giving them the polaroid look?

I love the captions that accompany each photograph. Poignant, well composed. Glad to see iPhone photos breaking out into mainstream.

Adam: I would venture to guess it's ShakeItPhoto.

I agree with Mikkers, these look like ShakeItPhoto to me.

I especially like the way that he picked what many consider a gimmicky effect, and stuck with it. I am lucky to shoot more than a half dozen shots in a row with any one filter.
