Filterstorm, the first iPad photo editing app coming 3rd April

Glyn Evans Today I got an email from developer Tai Shimizu about Filterstorm, the first photo editing app designed exclusively for the iPad, and below is the description from the apps website.
Retouching With a Touch
Filterstorm was designed from the ground up to meet your mobile photo editing needs. Using a uniquely crafted touch interface, Filterstorm allows for more intuitive editing than its desktop counterparts with a toolset designed for serious photography.
Filterstorm contains a suite of powerful tools including curves manipulation, color correction abilities, noise reduction, unsharp masking, and black and white conversion fine-tuning. It also includes the ability to apply any of the available filters by brush, or to a color range, as well as to the entire image.
While iPad processor speeds currently preclude the possibility of running a RAW workflow, Filterstorm is there to meet your JPEG editing needs. Giving your day’s shots the needed polishing has never been easier. Together, iPad’s extra portability and Filterstorm’s intuitive editing allow you to go from camera to edited image wherever you happen to be.
Featurestorm
On the left side of Filterstorm's toolbar, is a three way switch which controls the editing modes of Filterstorm: Full Image, Brush, and Color Range. Each of these modes allows you to apply your filters in its own unique manner and in conjuction serve to get you the perfect picture.
Whatever mode you pick, you have a number of the most important photo editing abilities at your fingertips. Of course, Filterstorm includes a curves tool, and it goes beyond that of popular photo editors by giving you not just RGB adjustments, but curves for luminance as well. If your exposure is close to perfection and editing the curves is overkill, brightness and contrast sliders are also available for simpler editing.
Next on the list, Color Balance and Saturation are always useful tools to keep your images color spot on. But if you want a more monochromatic look, don't go touching the saturation tool. Filterstorm includes a black and white tool that lets you choose how much each red, green, and blue should affect your monochromatic image, ensuring you keep your contrast correct.
Editing Everything
The quickest way to get something done is the default Full Image mode. Whatever filter you choose gets applied across the board here, with pinch and flick navigation just as you'd expect on iPad. Simple, easy, and effective.
Editing by Brush
What if just your foreground is underexposed for your taste? You don't want to brighten up the whole image. Brush mode allows you to select a brush, and apply the same set of filters to whatever area you like. Once in Brush mode, set your curves to make your foreground look good, and then brush that change on. Your background stays exposed, and everyone's happy.
Colorful Changes
Say you took a lovely photo, but your sky got a bit blown out. It happens to the best of us; I promise I won't tell. Luckily, no one needs to know. Head into Color Range mode, select the color range like above and change just the sky.
This app should be available from the 3rd April, and for a limited time will be FREE.

Looks like this app is not the first photo editing app for the iPad after all, as Photogene for iPad is already in the AppStore, however this app looks pretty nice never-the-less.

This looks awesome! just for fun I downloaded it anyway & I don't have an iPad ;p
Though I have asked the developer to please consider an iPhone version & a Mac desktop sounds a great idea too.
I have been told that the developer will gladly consider this & or both of these but will await user/consumer feedback. So if any of you would like to see an iPhone & a Mac desktop edition please leave a comment below.
Cheers.
It would be fantastic to see a iPhone app and a mac application if possible, I am sure it would be one of the top iPhone apps on the apple site bar none.
Lets make it happen asap!!!
Thanks to great developers and there visions to make things happen...
Another vote for an iPhone version. Thanks!
Another vote! iPhone version would be great. That's one of the most promising apps in The Sotre!
A definite vote for both the iPhone and desktop version !!
