Above: Actual size!!!Description from the AppStore: 8bitCamera is an application that can process the photograph in an old 8-bit personal computer style.
AppStore Link: 8bitCamera - Price £0.59/$0.99
Editors comments: This is a quirky app that can produce some interesting looking results, but here's the deal breaker, file size = 256 x 192 pixels for landscape shots, and 159 x 212 pixels for portrait!!
So bottom line: avoid like the plague and save your money.

Yeah, it kinda sucks that the final image is so small... but at the same time, it kinda fits the bill for the photos 8bit nature. I think I can let the small images slide, but I wouldn't mind getting hires images in a later update ;)
This app really should be free. As much as I would dig utilizing the effect, the low res is a deal breaker for me.

In my opinion, it is good that the resolution is low. If you are going to pixelate an image, why do you want a high resolution? The result is only an image with less than perfect squares! If you want a large print, resize without any resampling.
Emulate low resolution, small color space pictures from the old days. The app does what is supposed to do. If you want something else, get DotCamera e.g.
