The iPhoneography Showcase of Jürgen Novotny

Glyn Evans Usually "stuck" to my analog and digital photography equipment consisting of various SLR cameras I -- first perhaps a little bit timidly... - began to use my iPhone camera App. The results indeed very fast caught my attention - they are very much different from what I was used to during the - by now - more than 30 years of taking photographs -- more or less professional.
Meanwhile I use my iPhone as a kind of modern pinhole camera: with it's restricted optics & resolution and the absence of an optical zoom it's a special pleasure (and challenge :-) to achieve interesting results. With the iPhone I actually feel freedom to concentrate on the subjects and their composition, trying to emphasize and exaggerate the photo's message by the built in image processing Apps. which in my case are usually PSMobile, TiltShiftGenerator, PhotoFX and/or iFlashReady.
My ambition is to achieve the final result by editing all photos still on location, of course without any further processing (except the downsizing for my iPhone photography blog, which by the way is www.iphone-photographer.com). Please be also informed about my "normal" photography web site called Light upon my Face (www.lightuponmyface.com) where I exhibit my other works dealing with people, nudes, nature and architecture.

Photos on slideshow are not bad for a camera phone! I actually initially thought it was from a digital camera!
Hi Jesseca,
I myself was surprised about what's possible with the iPhone camera itself and especially with the results after "tweaking" them with a few good apps like PSMobile or PhotoFX; of course non of the photos has been edited outside my iPhone. In my office I have a 70 x 50 cm print of the "From Sea" photo, and it's quality - also viewed from near distance - is really great (which also is a result of this painting-like effect).
