Is magic coming to the iPhone?

You'll know that I am pretty critical of apps that promise to remove objects from your iPhone photos, only to do nothing more than slice and splice them. Well I've just been tipped off about a new app due for release any day now.
The app in questions is called TouchRetouch from iPhotoMania, and here is what they say about their app.
Developers description: TouchRetouch is really easy to use: just make a picture with the camera or select one from your gallery and you are ready to go. Mark unwanted content with your finger using "Brush" or "Lasso" tool and remove it easily by hitting "Go" button. Save it to your gallery and you are done. That’s it. Photo editing has never been so easy before.
Features:
- In-app video tutorials
- Unlimited Undo\Redo actions
- Smart image background recovery techniques
- No distortions in final image
- Easy to use interface
Just a few ideas to start with:
- Remove spots from sky or other backgrounds
- Remove wires from your picture
- Remove banners from the buildings
- Remove human-made objects from nature views (bridges, buildings, tents, ships etc.)
- Remove your shadow from self-made picture
- Remove people from the photo
- Remove ghosts and flare
- Remove surface breaks
- Smoothen and retouch the face
- Create funny pictures: for example, remove parachute and leave the guy flying in the sky
Now if the video below is anything to go by, then this app really does look like magic, and if true will set the standard for these types of apps.

Whoa! The muesli bar that I was eating fell from my hands. This is gonna be awesome. But it's not April Fools right?
Awesome! Looks just like that new Adobe Photoshop CS5 feature that let's you do something similar.. Smart fill or something like that lol.
Wow! That looks absolutely amazing. I'm more and more impressed with what the iPhone can do everyday.
I hope so...
Yeah, looks like content-aware fill from CS5. C-A fill is nowhere near perfect, but it comes close enough that it saves huge chunks of time. I absolutely cannot wait to try this app out.

We are very sorry to announce that TouchRetouch was rejected at AppStore. We will have to do minor changes and resubmit it again tomorrow. We hope that the App would be available on June 5th-10th, 2010. Thank you for your patience.
