App Update: Doublexposure

You may recall back in April I announced a then new app called Doublexposure, and wrote a mini review of the app at the same time saying "Normally I would slate an app that offered such an appalling resolution, and whilst this must be addressed by the developer, this app has the easiest and simplest of interfaces I've seen on any double exposure app, and as such could be a great app." Not long after this review the developer updated the app and addressed my concerns enableing a higher resolution of 1024 x 1024 pixels, but still not full-res.
What's new?
HD mode added: produce high resolution Doublexposures from an automatic crop of the original images.
- the HD mode automatically crops the original pictures to the biggest possible centred square and produces a final image of size 1024x1024
- the Crop mode (aka original mode) lets you select a crop of the original image and produces a final image typically of size 320x320
So what do I think of Doublexposure now?
Well the app is still as easy to use, but now includes a higher resolution output, although in this new HD mode you can not zoom and frame the photos used to create the double exposure. All the settings/features that were in the app before are still there, so the only difference is the new HD mode, which is a welcomed addition, but still falls short of what is needed to make this app a great app.
In my original review I gave this app 2 stars, and whilst the resolution has improved, it has not gone far enough, so I'm only going to increase my rating to 3 stars.
