Tiltshift Generator for iPad brings the beautiful simulated tilt-shift photographic effect to the iPad that we're already familiar with on the iPhone.
For those who may not know about it, tilt-shift photography is an artistic technique that uses a shallow depth of field to create selective focus in a photograph. It's often used to make scenes appear as if they were miniatures, or to add a sense of drama to a photograph.
The iPad version of the application is not very different in style or content from the iPhone version, but it does make very nice use of the iPad's larger display. The program itself is swift and responsive. When the tilt shift effects are applied, the results can be seen immediately, which is very helpful when trying to obtain a very precise tilt-shift effect.
The controls themselves are laid out in a very intuitive fashion, and everything you need to produce the effect is immediately in front of you without having to look through any confusing menus. Images can be worked with either horizontally or vertically, and touching the image brings up an outline of the area where the effect is being applied, making it very easy to precisely place where the effect should be rendered. Overall, the controls are extremely simple, direct and precise.

One of my favorite features of this application is the ability to fine tune and adjust all aspects of the tilt-shift effect. Everything from the type of blur to apply to the amount of vignetting to use can be adjusted in this program. And thankfully, images can be saved in their original resolution, so there's no need to worry about having an image downsized after processing.
And if you happen to be confused about how to use the program, they've built in a tutorial in order to teach you how to use the app, which is a very nice additional touch and makes the application even more user friendly than it already is.
I'd love to see a couple more options in this application, like the ability to change the color of the vignetting. But really, this would simply be icing upon an already well developed cake.
Overall, this is my favorite application for producing a tilt-shift effect. The intuitive control layout, responsiveness of the program, and ability to finely adjust all effects makes this one a definite five star app!

I like it. I wish there were a simple way to reset all controls to 'default'. Other than that, I get a mileage out of this one.
