Eddie Garou
Hello! I'm Eddie Garou, a photographer from New York City. I photograph a lot of events, mostly fashion events, runway shows, presentations and charity events. I also do a lot of art photography. But even though I use a professional DSLR in the bulk of my work, my favorite camera is actually the iPhone.
The iPhone gives me a way in which I can be more spontaneous with my photography. Everyone puts on their best face and does their best pose when I bring out my DSLR, but people relax and show me their true face when I bring out my iPhone. The iPhone also allows me to be discrete in my photography, giving me the opportunity to capture what is naturally occurring. In the words of Henri Cartier-Bresson, the iPhone gives me "the velvet hand [and] the hawk's eye".
I recently bought the iPad, and I'm really excited to see how I can use it to enhance all of my photography. I've already found that it's an amazing tool for getting my photos off my DSLR and into the hands of those that need them. And as new programs come out for the iPad, I'll be here to review them and let you know how they can help your photography as well!

Eddie, thanks and welcome to the blog. I've had my 3G 64gb iPad for about 11 days now and have been having a blast. I'll try to post about my experiences with it later -- right now it has been working wonderfully as portfolio for my dSLR images as well, and I've been doing some simple edits on some iPhoneography.
Wonderful device that I imagine will continue to improve and add great functionality.
I look forward to your posts,
N
When I get my Ipad, you are going to be my go-to-guy for Ipad photorelated stuff, bro.
Thanks for contributing!!!
