I think I was one if the first to purchase this app & share it to others.... (Glyn included) and I must say... It is fantastic! While many might try to compare it to BestCamera due to links to a true professional photographer behind the boards. This honestly is nothing like BC, Camera+ to me is a combination of many of my all time favorite apps all in one. While it isn't a replacement for my faves it is now included as a favorite it's self. It includes bits & pieces of many great apps & incorporates them into it's own. Many of the included features, functions, filters & effects are even better developed than other apps. While this is being sold as an all in one app... I would say combine this app with other favorites in your collection & you will definitely be able to create some stunning results. Like many apps it too has a few faults but then again this is v1.0 & can't be knocked for them just yet. I will state that YES it does save at FULL RES & the effects are great... So that being said I personally suggest you buy Camera+ & give it a shot!
For me it is a ★★★★ - 4.5 App. Fix the odd quirk & add a few things & it's a 5!

Full resolution, very nice filters, fast, borders (underestimated in a lot of photo-apps), VERY beautiful design.
It’s a great app to shoot photos (stabilizer, zoom, scene modes, grid lines) AND a great app to process.
I’m with SCW in the rating: "For me it is a ★★★★ - 4.5 App. Fix the odd quirk & add a few things & it's a 5!"
I love the lightbox feature as my camera roll is always cluttered by different versions of photos. I agree with SCW and others that this app has the potential to be great, but so did Best Camera. Instead, Best Camera has now languished without an update and has fallen back in the ranks of photography apps to be just mediocre. Camera+ needs filter stacking and a cleaner UI, the filters need just a bit of tweaking to prevent them from blowing out photos or washing them out (toy camera has this annoying yellow washout that doesn't remind me of toy cameras at all).
What I am most concerned about is TapTapTap's attitude about developing their apps. They create, publicize, and then leave the app in 1.0 until they roll out their next biggest flavor of the month. I really love it when developers take care of their apps. I'd hate to get too attached to Camera+ only to see it wither.
Great app! Hard to find on the app store! First app I see that has some decent photo format cropping! Love the interface and sounds but the photo effects and borders are a little on the bland side and lack personality.
I'm enjoying the app so far and have written a review for my pocketplastic.com site. Definitely one of the better camera replacement/all-in-one photography workflow apps I've seen. No numerical score was assigned, but if I had to, I'd settle on a 4/5 as well.

I have just used it for 30 minutes and I love it so much I have put the standard camera in a folder to hide it and replaced it with Camera+ as my go to camera even it is is one more touch and you cannot switch to video on the fly. I have been using iOS 4 since beta 1 after the first announcement in April. The zoom quality is superb compared to what the standard camera app produces. The zoom shots from this app make the standard 5x zoom shots look like they were taken with a keychain camera. The zoomed shots are not over sharpened and muddy like the standard camera app produces. They look as good as possible for the 3GS. Very sharp text and tight anti aliasing. Once OS4 goes public you wont want to use the on board zoom at all if you have this app.
This is definitely worth 2.99. This is my fav camera app.
I have not tried the filters yet.
Brad: Thanks for that info, I've been wondering how the digital zoom holds up against what Apple's built into the regular camera app. Now all we need is for Camera+ to support the iPhone 4's 5mp resolution.
It's on sale for $.99 right now. I'm glad I held out.
Great app... BUT The developers etc are useless XXXX's They do not reply to any emails, twitter messages etc. They seem like another prior one hit wonder app that has abandoned their app while at the top. So while many might buy this app & I personally like this app alot myself... Be aware that the development team is NOT responsive towards it's users.
But oddly enough they must have seen a decline is sales for they Tweeted the other day as a reminder to please rate & review their app in the AppStore & then today it appears on sale... Hmmm
