New iPhone Photo App: PocketChris Photography Basics

Glyn Evans Ever wondered how depth of field at f1.4 actually looks like? How about f5.6? What does an exposure difference of two f-stops feel like? How to better incorporate the background into a picture? What does a warm white balance look like?

Just try it out with the flick of a finger in this interactive book by photography instructor Chris Marquardt, host of Tips from the Top Floor.
PocketChris for iPhone is the photography instructor in your pocket, helping you to learn photography in a brand new way!
Learning By Touch!
Reading about camera settings and their effects is one thing. Actually seeing the effects with your own eyes is something entirely different.
PocketChris does both. See the actual effect of different choices with your own eyes, and read along in perfectly bite-sized bits of information, with everything put into easy-to-digest words by photography instructor Chris Marquardt.
Who is Chris Marquardt?
Chris Marquardt is the host of Tips from the Top Floor, a weekly show about all things photography. He is also a photography instructor holding photography workshops from Berlin to San Francisco, from Kathmandu to Brooklyn.

This app is pretty neat. Nice and clean with some good info. It looks like this is the first in a series of apps. I'm sure they will not be free though. This is just a teaser app.
I just downloaded it this morning and will definitely refer to it as needed.
I downloaded it and find it very informative, even if it is just the basics. I'll be keeping it around and I hope he comes out with a more advance version in the future. I'd even be willing to pay a couple of bucks for one.
The App Store description says the updates will come free of charge. So it might be a paid for app after future updates, might be worth downloading for that reason alone!
Decent app though, will certainly help cure some of my rust!
I stil recommend a serious book to learn.
