Ask me on Twitter I still have some codes =)

Promo codes are fine, but what I really want to know: is the app any good? Glyn, assuming you've tried most of the apps you're mentioning on this site (?), please post a brief review, in addition to the app description. If you haven't tested a particular app, please mention that as well, and invite other users to share their opinion (like you sometimes do). Thanks!

@ Jarle Aasland

The app was great before this update & it is AWESOME now!

If you like to add a vintage, retro, weathered, worn, tattered old visual appeal to your images... Pic Grunger is a no brainer & it's a dollar!

all gone~"~ so fast sad....

@ SWC

Thanks. Just purchased it. Looking great so far.

Only minor drawback: it's a little slow (3GS, iOS4). Wouldn't it be possible to work with a smaller proxy image (so that you could see changes to strength, etc. in real time), and just apply processing to the full res image when saving?

I've used this app for a while now, and the update made it even better. To me this can be best described as a no brainer. I fail to see how anyone could be disappointed if they buy it :-)

Certainly does the job, but slow to process large pics, even on the iPhone 4.
Also not keen on the screen goimg black while it adjusts the pic. Sliders with instant preview would have been great, but its rather hit & miss with results this way, IMHO

I have had this app for about a month and I think it is great. The update also added some nice functionality. Here are some examples of what can be done:

I've had this app for a while and it's one of my favorites. I love the aged, distressed, grungy look I can create using it. Well worth getting.

@ Jarle Aasland

I'm on an iOS4 3GS & it's lightning fast!
I'd suggest an iPhone reboot for anyone having issues with this or any app being slightly slow at processing.

US store only :-(

* Oh & I mean a true reboot... NOT just holding the power button & sliding it to power off AKA sleep mode. No I mean holding down the power button & the home button until the iPhone turns off & the screen goes blank. Then wait a minute & restart / reboot.

@ SWC

Tried a restart, but it didn't help much (if at all). Processing full res photos, the screen goes blank for approx. 10 seconds whenever I change the strength setting. Are you sure you've turned on full res output?

July 15, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterJarle Aasland

Sorry, I meant @ SCW, obviously.

July 15, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterJarle Aasland

i personally did not find this app very impressive...............i hav tested many other apps of this kind........its a decent app but i am more impressed by "IRIS PHOTO SUITE" which enables us to use many filters........its sketch feature till now is best than any other app..............best thing about IRIS is that it allows us to edit and save high resolution images.....
thnks
