I love it, but then again, I love CinemaFX, too :D

I'm wondering if they're either a) going to release an update to CinemaFX to include some of the add on's that the video version has, or b) release a new app that in inclusive of these items.

Love the demo videos, Glyn!

- I was fortunate enough to beta test CinemaFXV from it's conception (well I think I requested this app a lot haha) & this truly is AWESOME! Personally I am a huge fan of the CinemaFX photo editor so this was a no brainer. If you are looking to edit video on your iPhone 3GS or iphone 4 with an amazingly well developed retro, vintage feel then this is "THE" video app for you! From the development team of ReelDirector, ReelMoments, CinemaFX & FocalLab where Nexvio is known for their great app development & quality workmanship.

CinemaFX Video is a quality app at a reasonable price! $1.99 for the app including 2 awesome filter packs & 2 additional Filter packs at only $0.99 each.... Giving you a total of $4.00 "IF" you purchase the entire app including all filter effects. That is a DEAL!

*To those I'd seen mention that the processing took awhile... Understand that this app is applying some fantastic filter effects & like any quality app on an iPhone it might take a moment to complete such a task.

CinemaFX for Video is A MUST HAVE APP !!!

BTW..its no faster on the iPhone 4
Not sure about the fuss around the A4 processor..seems no faster than the 3GS to me

I just downloaded it too, and it looks like EXACTLY the app I have been waiting for on my iPhone 4. I haven't seen the results yet, and it is sloooooow to process video. I gave up on a 30 second clip after about ten minutes (with two filters on it.) I need to try some smaller clips. I love the effects available though... and the cost is worth it if it all works. It'll be my "hipstamatic" for video... if only I have the patience to wait.

glad to hear I'm not the only one waiting over 10 minutes for a 30 second HD clip on my iphone 4...SCW, guess this is what you mean my "a moment"? I'll try and by a little more patient I guess!

I too thought bah to the time taken on this.. but.. painful as it can be.. the app actually processes it in the background allowing you to do whatever else you want then through the magic of multitasking you can go back and it'll still be working away in the background.. so while processing a video I played tilt to live and went back and it was finished (result!!!)

Man .... you guys are making me wish I didn't have to wait until next year to upgrade my 3G. But, hopefully, at least by then they'll have worked out the current crop of bugs in the 4G. In the meantime I'll just start myself a wishlist of apps I want to purchase when I get it.

Best app I've got so far, so awesome!
I'm making a video for my youtube channel entirely with it (rendered with final cut though to have a good sync with the music)
ANyway money extremely well spent!

@ 7 SKies
Render with ReelDirector & add that all in together perfectly!

Awesome app. Slow to render yes but that is life.

I tried it out yesterday, and I love it! It is very slow, but I left it running and went to other apps and came back. It seemed to keep running in the background, but that may have been my imagination. At the very least, you can keep using your phone and let it process when you are finished and ready to walk a way for a few minutes. It's worth the wait! It will process the effects in HD if you'd like!

Great app. I love that you can stack 3 filters and adjust parameters of each.
I WISH THERE WAS A "RENDER QUALITY" OPTION.
In my test at 720p, I saw a lot of artifacting as compared to the original footage. (This is not obvious on the phone itself, but when you send the HD video to YouTube or Facebook -via PIxelpipe so you get full resolution - you can see the compression).
This would also help with those complaining about the render time. They could choose low quality render which would be faster and I would choose high quality render - and render in the background.
And, yes, the background render works great.

"I WISH THERE WAS A "RENDER QUALITY" OPTION"

You are in luck... it does

@ SCW

I don't mean 360p, 540p, 720p.
I mean 720p High, 720p Medium, 720p Low.
Here is my test:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nl0e1h_Dn00

If you watch it in 1080 in fullscreen, you can see the difference. On an HDTV, the difference is even more noticeable.
Now don't get me wrong, CinemaFX is pretty awesome (and compression is not really that bad) I just want the option to have the BEST.

So, I found a Flickr group for the CinemaFX application and the developer was active enough in the discussions to answer my question:

I've already downloaded it and am completely in love with it!

Will there be an updated to the current photo version of CinemaFX that is inclusive of the add on packs from the video version, or will y'all be releasing a new app with those features?

Nexvio says:
Glad to hear you enjoy the app. We do plan to apply the new effects to photos, but haven't decided on how to do it yet. Please stay tuned!

I thought I would pass this information on to y'all here, incase anyone else was curious!

@SCW
I do use reel director but since I have a music channel for me syncing video with music it's extremely important and (as far as I m aware) reel director it's still not too precise with it.
Great software anyway.
Oh does anyone know if it's possible to import somehow footage into reel director?
I would like to be able to add my splash screen and other videos that are on my computer into reel director the way that I can skip the imovie / final cut part when it comes to add just some extra vids that are not on the iphone
