Camera+ version 1.2, a sneak peek

Whilst many have been unimpressed with tap tap tap's selling tactics of their iPhone camera replace app Camera+, and this disgruntlement fueled by their blog post telling everyone one how much money this app has made them, they are at least investing some of this money in developing what is essentially a good app even further.

The following video gives a sneak peek of version 1.2, showing what appears to be dynamic exposure control and the iPhone's volume button acting as a real shutter button.

Ok the app it's self is nice, it's not the be all end all go to app at all though. But yes the selling tactics of the development team & even the whole association with Tap tap tap isn't a brownie badge what's so ever! Then the brutal lack of communication with it's users screams... F#%$ off I just want your money.
Now this video sell absolutely nothing to me! Nothing I need, nothing groundbreaking, nothing so inspiring & eye catching we must buy it. Then in their typical selling tactics Lisa who actually owns the Camera+ app that (she paid Tap tap tap to develop for her) is shown again in her "it's all about me" demo videos pimping her self to everyone for another dollar. She really is a pathetic joke & it's too bad she actually invested in this app & want to be it's selling featurette LOL.

....Next!

@SCW: Dude, what's your issue here? To say that the next update doesn't bring anything new to the table is ignorant on your part. What other app on the market offers dynamic exposure? I'm sorry you are so full of anger at Lisa & taptaptap, but is it really worth it to you to be that upset? Camera+ *is* my go-to app, I bought it before the "sale" price, and I've seen nothing but forward momentum from all parties involved in the development of this app.

But that's just my two cents...

I'll wait till the inevitable "sale" next week ;)

I am rather shallow and I quite enjoy looking at Lisa :-)

I bought the app before the sale price and I have no hard feelings. Get over it. It cost you $2.99 instead of $0.99. A couple of dollars. Oh no.

The dynamic exposure looks like it could be a great new feature that the other camera replacement apps don't seem to have.

I own all the rest but I use Camera+ as my go to camera app. No matter how much you hate on Lisa or taptaptap or the marketing, it is still a well designed, useful app.

..can't say I've used it since I bought it TBH

I have no issue with the app at all. I like all the features, especially the filters. I am looking forward to the update and will continue using the app.
@SCW: The app is good app overall--bashing it at this point is a waste of time. But if that is your thing--rock on!!!

I don't get the bashing of apps that is irrelavant and not the least bit true. @SCW I guess you are mad at this point for not having a app out their of your own maybe...

Anyway, can't say I use this app everyday but I do like the new feature they are showing in the video. But miss the choice to put layers one layers. And to have the choice to edit brightness, saturation and contrast in the photos.

So hopefully you will have a great day "SCW and hey if you don't like it take it out of the iPhone or don't buy it. Simple as that.

I used to use this app a lot and appreciate the update but I find that with the OS4 update and the ability to zoom with the native camera, I use it less. I do want to experiment with the dynamic range feature. I may be missing something but I read their blog post on marketing the app and thought it was informative. I had no idea how profitable this app was for them. Wow.

The dynamic exposure would definitely revive this app for me.

I wonder if there are others already planning such a feature in a photo app. Competition breeds pedigrees, and I'm always open to an app that's better.

Peace
