SparkPlug Flash, the LED light for your iPhone

If you have one of the older iPhone's and are looking for an alternative to the quirky beamer, then this small LED light from SparkPlug Industries LLC that connects to, and is powered by, the iPhone's dock connector, may be just what you have been looking for.
Designed for the iPhone 2G, 3G and 3GS, the flash itself uses Cree LED's that are activated by a touch sensor found on the back of the module, giving off a 96 lumen beam of light. Drawing power from the iPhone, and small enough to be attached to a key-ring, this little light source is currently available for $14.95 from SparkPlug.

My only concern is the sample photo shown on the manufacturers Flickr page appears to show a hotspot, which may limit its appeal.
For more information on, or to order a SparkPlug Flash, head over to the SparkPlug website, and if you do get one, or already have one, then please let us know what you think.

Just got mine on the mail today. Some quick test shots and yeah, that hot spot is unavoidable and noticeable. With some thought, it would make for some stylized shots but this is definately not a balanced flash.
