Free App: Vint B&W
Sunday, July 25, 2010 at 10:49AM |
Glyn Evans Back in April I announced that Vint B&W was available for free in the AppStore, not knowing that the app was no longer available outside the US.
Today I got an email from developer Erik Pettersson, telling me that Vint B&W is back, and still free.
If you haven't tried this camera only app, then give it a go, as it produces what I think are the best tonal range black and white images of any iPhone app, and it even supports full-res on the iPhone 4.

Fortunately the app works with iOS4.
Unfotunately no enhancements and updates are coming.
Why does the developer makes no Vint BW Lab app to postprocess pics with his wonderful filter. I would pay for this as I paid for the app in earlier days. An inapp function even would be better. But i have no hope :-(
The fact that you can not use pictures that you have already taken makes this app pretty much useless. At least it was free.
@Matej. Try shooting a series of B&W's with Vint and then check out the quality, as I think your view of this app may change.
I think Vint B&W is very nice, fairly fast and the results look pretty good. But I also really like Aisu B&W, especially the ability to control the intensity and the ability to use the photo roll. They're both free, so that's a big plus.
