Hipstamatic Revised

As if I didn't have enough reasons to love Hipstamatic, the people at Synthetic Corp. have revised it to make it even better than it was! The Hipstamatic 160, as they call it, have new features that take advantage of a lot that the iPhone 4 has to offer.
First, the graphics have been revised to take advantage of the retina display. They're absolutely sharp and crisp, and really give a better "physical toy camera" feel than the previous graphics.
In addition to this, they've added the ability to use the iPhone 4's actual flash when taking a picture. Whenever you activate the Hipstamatic's flash, the iPhone's flash will go off as well. This is a really exciting new feature, and definitely adds to the realistic toy camera feel of the app. If you use a color flash, the app does a good job of realistically adding in the flash color. The only drawback, however, is that the flash is a little slow, and when you go to take the photograph, the viewfinder closes, leaving you unable to see what's going on while the flash activates. This might cause you to move the iPhone away when it actually hasn't taken the picture yet.
Top two images: Hipstamatic photos without and with flash.
Bottom two images: Plain flash vs. Berry Pop flash.
Another brilliant feature of this app is iOS 4 background processing of the pictures. No longer do you have to worry about closing the program or taking a call when you're in the middle of processing a photo. The application simply processes the photo in the background. And when you want to get back to the app, you can quick switch back to Hipstamatic exactly where you left off.
A final feature of the newly revised Hipstamatic is a cross-platform one. You now have the ability to create "stacks" of photos in Hipstamatic. When you view your photos in the app, you can now create a batch of photos. This is helpful not only in terms of organization, but also for sending the pics. You can send a stack of up to nine prints to e-mail, to Facebook or to Flickr, which is a very nice added bonus feature.

Needs to get us the option to not use the LED flash and just use the 'software' flash! LED kinda messes up any candid shots with it's brightness.
Didn't the bit about the flash. Rather clever I think.
I am still keen to see post-processing capability added to this app. Maybe the developer would consider an in-app purchase for a darkroom..............
It would be GREAT if apple updated the iPhone 4 software to clear up the white balance issue, the yellow tint effect is really a downer for Hipstamatic photos.
Hipstamatic and PictureShow are top shelf iPhone apps everyone should have.
Since the update, when I use Hipsta the photos advance directly to Printing but then will not go on to Print Ready. I tried deleting and then reinstalling but nothing makes it work again... I use Hipsta a lot and am really upset that it is now completely unusable. I have an iPhone 3G.
I have the same problem with my 3G since the lastest update, it stops in Printing forever. I'd like to think that the Hispta developers are working in a well solution before they go on holidays...
I have a 3G as well and, while I have noticed Hipstamatic has gotten a little slower with the update, it still works for me; surprising considering the amount of apps on my phone. Maybe they'll fix the speed issue in a later update.
Ok, now I know how to fix it, try turning off "Save EXIF Data" in the settings app on your home screen.
Thanks Vip Vop! Problem solved.
